Cannot create train routes. – Train Fever /forums/topic/cannot-create-train-routes/feed/ Wed, 30 Apr 2025 12:30:53 +0000 https://bbpress.org/?v=2.6.13 en-US /forums/topic/cannot-create-train-routes/#post-19361 <![CDATA[Cannot create train routes.]]> /forums/topic/cannot-create-train-routes/#post-19361 Mon, 31 Aug 2015 13:46:56 +0000 Tatumsa I added two train stations to each of two towns, trying to join them up, they cross over several dirt roads.  I go to upgrade the roads to ones where a level crossing is created but I cannot upgrade them all as they are “Main Connection:  Need bypass first”.  Whether I build the bypass or not is immaterial as the train line will still cross the dirt tracks (or I get not enough space errors when I try to customise the line),

In summary, cannot create train lines because I cannot upgrade roads.  This makes the game unplayable.

When are you going to fix, I have seen reports of this going back nine months.

  1. Pause the game.
  2. Demolish a small section of the railway line that crosses the dirt road.
  3. Upgrade the road to desired level.
  4. Re-lay the railway line across the road, selecting the desired level crossing (if you have a choice*).

*You will have a choice of crossings if you have installed one, or more of the level crossing mods available on Train-Fever.net.  (Highly recommended)
