1. Are 2 maps with the same settings and the same seed identical?

2. Is there a way to find what seed a savegame uses? (by opening it in notepad++ or something idk)

Id like to start over on a map i had going before using the new fancy american trains and such. I cant remember the seed as it was a randomly generated one.
