If so, it matters where you hover when scrolling.

If you are hovering over the vehicles section, using the mouse wheel will scroll horizontally, this is to reveal all the vehicles for a line.  To scroll the actual lines, hover anywhere but over the vehicles.  I usually hover over the line names.

My advise would be to just buy some cheap mouse. Also some touchpads in laptops have a feature that if you move your finger over the right edge of touchpad it will work like wheel.
