Its main source of income is passanger and wood traffic.

The crux of engineering is the Tiverton Spiral Tunnel

The year 1858 marks the start of the Grand Wood Line, to keep the Tiverton Forest happy. Three locomotives push a train through the torturous Tiverton Spiral Tunnel:

And even then, the 15 car train barely reaches 20km/h at the summit.

The train on the screen costs about $220k per year. THe whole wood service yields aboyt 1.2M per year in income and about 500k in expenses.

Anyhow:

Year 1859 marks the completion of Battle Extension of the system:

The next logical step is to extend the system to Newbury, but that will require a costly demolishion at Tiverton.
